Industry transformation case study
The client & the challenge
Start with the business.
Marble Slab is part of ZAD’s Saudi food and beverage portfolio. Its business combines a store network, customised desserts and online ordering. Central finance needs an operating view that can keep pace with that variety of customer activity.
The programme needed to bring accounting and store transactions into a common platform while accommodating the practical requirements of branch operations. The rollout sequence also had to distinguish the live core from purchasing, inventory, manufacturing and digital-channel work still to follow.
The solution at a glance
Connect the store transaction with central financial control
Illustration of the documented solution scope and intended business value.
01
Capture store activity
Record sales through the Odoo POS workstream.
02
Keep transaction context
Bring sales records into a shared business environment.
03
Connect finance
Establish accounting alongside sales and POS.
04
Extend in phases
Sequence the remaining operational and digital-channel work.
The TDS approach
TDS’s Saudi delivery team organised the rollout by operational workstream. The September 2025 report records accounting and sales/POS as finalised, with ZAD POS brought live. It distinguishes that foundation from subsequent purchasing, inventory, manufacturing and HR activities. The broader programme also includes Marble Slab’s website-integration requirements.
Business value first
What the design makes possible
A common transaction foundation
Completed accounting and sales/POS milestones provide the basis for managing commercial activity within the same ERP environment as finance.
A rollout tied to operations
Branch readiness matters alongside configuration. The programme treated store deployment and the wider operational roadmap as separate delivery steps.
Room to extend the operating model
The phased design allows the group to build on the sales and financial foundation as additional workstreams become ready.
The confirmed milestones relate to ZAD’s programme: accounting and sales/POS were finalised, and ZAD POS go-live was recorded. This does not establish completion at every brand or outlet, or completion of all integrations and later phases. No quantified margin, waste or sales-growth result is asserted.
What makes this case special
Industry knowledge, expressed in the workflow.
The case demonstrates TDS’s Saudi food-service experience and the importance of connecting store-level activity with group finance through a practical deployment sequence. Marble Slab’s brand context is preserved without treating group milestones as proof of completion at every outlet.
